Sketchy Boards challenge - November

Did you see what the

SKETCHY BOARDS Challenge is for November?

These fresh and funky colours

and this sketch

and this is my entry...

Last Photo of my Grandma xx

A charms Creation Hessian Pink heart seemed to add a softness,
A little stencilling work in the background with a NEW stencil from The Stencil Hut
and a flair too

I created the 'banners' from Imaginarium Designs Chipboard pieces - Corners, Nat's Hearts, Mini Cogs, and a fancy round piece I snipped off sections (still have half for some other time? lol)
Coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Crayons
A sprinkling of Prima flowers too!!

Title is Imaginarium Designs chipboard
The black flourish piece from The Resin Rainbow
The epoxy dots from Cocoa Vanilla
and a cute butterfly from Kelly-ann... perfect!!

Photo is the last one taken of Dad's Mum, Granny at Katelyn's 2nd birthday party, she fell over and bumped her head a couple of days after - a tragic accident - she had a Breast removed, a Pacemaker installed, a terrible case of shingles and lost Pop all in the previous 5 years... we just never know when it is our time!!

Scrapping Outback - November challenge

It's November... hooray!!
With a new month comes new challenges... hooray!!

I ran out of spare time in October to get my entry in at
Scrapping Outback
so, I'm in early for November!!

The Inspiration picture is this

and the rules are to have WHITE cardstock (I used an A4 of glossy) and CHIPBOARD (Heaps of Scrapmatts chipboard)

I prepped the Hot Air Balloons with the Anna Griffin 'Acrylic Gesso' so when they were sprayed with the Prima Colour Bloom, Kaisercraft and Distress mists the colours are variegated - its a great finish!!

A Charms Creation Cloud, Scrapmatts title and heaps of resin from The Resin Rainbow!!

and a cute little butterfly from Kelly-Ann!!

Photo of our 3 children at Boyne Island Primary school - Katelyn started Grade One before we moved to Darwin for 12months and NT said she had to do Transition as her birthday is in August - Emily went on to Grade 3... she is a May baby - and our son Tim completed Grade 7 in Darwin before we returned to Brisbane for him to start High School.

Still plenty of time to get your entry in too!!

Happy Memories Layout - Couture Creations DT

Hello everyone!!
I'm back to share another project with you, this time with browns, creams and black...
Yes, the Ooh Lala collection
Are you loving the tones and images from the
Ooh Lala collection?

Trim your patterned paper ULT157634 Florals in Chocolate to 30x30cm and then layer ULT157621 Chocolate Swirls by trimming an inch off the top - ULT157622 Patterned in Gold is trimmed to 10 inches by 30cm.
The Ooh Lala collection has a Ribbon and Lace pack ULT1576396 - a strip has been tucked under the paper, after some distressing - top and bottom.
If you have a fancy circle cutter, cut a circle from ULT157618 Gold, Silver, Bronze - alternatively trace a paper plate and trim around. I gathered some brown tissue or pattern tissue around the edge of the circle, trimming one side and mounted the piece on some 'scrap' left from the Foam Dots (nothing is wasted) the part of the circle which was trrimmed was then adhered to the right hand side.
I love to fussy cut, the ULT157617 Butterflies and Lace and the little leaves from ULT157614 Florals in Chocolate - clustering pieces in with some of the flowers

Colouring the flowers with the Anna Griffin Pigment Powders (see previous blog post if you'd like to make them into 'water colours')
Such delicate leaves!!
The 3mm Duo Pearls ULT157655 have both a chocolate brown and a creamy colour included which makes it easy to add a couple here and there.

Did you see that super cute heart shaped doiley?
ULT157630 Paper Doily Set - Hearts
I think every project NEEDS one of these... don't you?
ps, you get 25 in a packet - bargain!!
